Are they saying, "Ahh! Finally a new post!"? |
Hello, It has been quite some time since my last post, and I apologize for the interruption. I hope you all had a great summer. I had little free time this summer between working full-time at Pomfret Audubon Center's summer camp, gardening, hiking with Jacob and the dogs, and other outdoor activities. Since summer camp ended, things have slowed down. But, I am staying busy hiking in the woods near my house, painting, and catching up on things. School field trips have started at the Audubon Center, but since things aren't as nuts I plan to post regularly again. I would love to hear about your summer activities, vacation, camps, hikes, and adventures.
I have so much to share with you from summer camp to the beautiful fall colors we are experiencing. Today, I'm going mix it up and post group camp pictures, and give you a taste of our fall colors. However later, I will devote individual posts to aspects of summer including; camp, summer plants, bugs, and mushrooms. (I just realized that nearly half my phone photos are mushrooms! Finding so many mushrooms is new for me since I grew up in the dry southwest. Plus, there are some species that are edible, but identifying them is a challenge.) I would also like to share more fall photos, paintings, crafts, and a map project I have been working on in future posts.
Thank you for reading, and hanging in there during my long absence.
Happy Fall! Enjoy smiling faces and beautiful colors!
